MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - One of Theodore’s best and brightest is headed to Fayetteville now that Bobcats star JJ Bush has officially announced his commitment to the Arkansas Razorbacks.

“It’s just a blessing to be here. I know there’s plenty of people who want to be in my shoes but it’s nothing but God right here,” said Arkansas commit JJ Bush.

Bush made his announcement while surrounded by his family, friends, teammates and coaches who waited eagerly while JJ had a little fun before the big moment.

But in the end JJ finally threw on the Razorbacks had in what was an emotional moment for the four-star linebacker.

“It’s just where I come from and everybody depending on me and I like that, I like to be pressured, I like to have everything on my shoulders. It’s just dreams to reality for real,” said Bush.

Bush dominated on both sides of the ball for the Bobcats last year which led to a 1st team All-State season and several offers from across the country. He narrowed his top four down to LSU, Missouri, Cincinnati, and the Razorbacks. But Bush says he always knew Arkansas was home.

“Just the coaches for real, they develop players good. I’ve been there three times and every time I went it was great. There was nothing bad about Arkansas,” added Bush.

“Yall got a real dog coming and we getting a Natty I’m trying to tell you”

Now that it’s official, Bush will turn his attention to his senior season before living out a lifelong dream of playing in the SEC.

“They’re getting a dog in the classroom and on the field,” said Bush. “This is what I prayed for overnight and every day and this is what I worked hard for.”
