It’s clear how Claire could easily get caught up in the heat of the moment and share a kiss with him – simply seeking a moment of relief, needing someone to lean on.
Of course, Claire could quickly pull back and offer countless apologies shortly after, catching herself in an inappropriate act. We might witness Claire panicking over the thought of betraying Kyle, yet he might be engaging in an even greater betrayal as his arc in France unfolds.
The episode airing on July 11 will also introduce increasing temptation for Kyle and Audra, so could this be the moment they finally give in and take action? Is it possible for Audra and Kyle to find themselves surrendering in the bedroom while the potential kiss between Claire and Holden is unfolding?
It seemed to be a telling clue in a recent episode when Kyle was rubbing suntan lotion on a near naked Audra, and the name of the product was “Birthday Suit”! If they do wind up in bed, Kyle could find himself in a difficult situation when he returns home, receiving updates about some shocking news and struggle with what follows.
Claire really needed his support after Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) died as her mother Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Claire were visiting him.
Claire could admit to her kiss with Holden and plead for Kyle’s forgiveness, and might argue that it was merely a mistake fueled by grief and promise it won’t occur again.
However, if Kyle has already been intimate with Audra by that time, he may be surprisingly quick to forgive and move on!
It would be intriguing to witness Claire feeling remorseful over a simple kiss while Kyle conceals a night of intense passion; and even worse, things like this always are exposed. Not to mention the situation is subject to a Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) “I told you so!” which in the aftermath of Cole’s death, would be supremely inappropriate! No matter what, it seems that the episode of Y&R airing on July 11 will hold significant importance for both Kyle and Claire.
