Multiculturalism not only enriches our societies but also our workplaces. In a global company built by people with diverse stories, languages, and traditions, every cultural celebration is an opportunity to get to know each other better, learn from one another, and strengthen collaboration.

In this article, we highlight two commemorative dates observed in Peru and Brazil that reflect the value of our roots and invite us to celebrate the richness of our differences.

Every June 24th, the city of Cusco, Peru, becomes the epicenter of one of the most important celebrations on the Andean calendar: , or the Festival of the Sun. This ancestral ceremony is one of the most emblematic celebrations of the Inca legacy, honoring  the most important deity in the Andean world — regarded as the source of life, energy, and wisdom.

The celebration was established in the 15th century by Inca Pachacútec to mark the and to signal the start of the Andean new year. Originally, it included dances, offerings, and rituals to give thanks to the sun and pray for the agricultural future. In 1944, it was revived as a symbolic ceremony that has since been performed annually with a grand spectacle at the Sacsayhuamán fortress.

Today, Inti Raymi is more than just a cultural performance: it is a living expression of Andean identity. Through dances, music, and rituals — both staged and intimate—the peoples of the Andes renew their connection to nature, spirituality, and the memory of their ancestors, keeping alive the flame of a tradition that endures the passage of time.

In June, Brazil celebrates more than just the start of winter—it celebrates its roots. light up streets and squares with colorful flags, bonfires, and traditional outfits that transport us to the heart of the countryside. Inspired by the Catholic festivities of , these celebrations blend religious tradition, popular culture, and a lot of flavor.

Food takes center stage: , and the classic warm both body and soul. The rhythm of and the choreography of the invite everyone to dance, laugh, and come together.

More than a celebration, the Festas Juninas are a living postcard of : colorful, warm, and deeply rooted in community.
