The Voice 2025 series delayed after ITV talent show signs new celebrity judge - OK! Magazine
Devotees of The Voice are in for a bit of a wait, as it looks like there’ll be a long pause before the next series hits our screens.
The talent show favourite usually graces our tellies in the autumn on ITV, but word on the street is that The Voice won't be making an appearance until 2026.
The latest from The Sun says that the show is slated for a January return and will grab those coveted weekend spots, while TV chiefs play around with the timetable.
And it isn’t just the scheduling that’s getting a revamp – fans should brace themselves for a fresh face spinning in the coaches' seats.
Joining the line-up is none other than Kelly Rowland, the American songstress stepping in after LeAnn Rimes departed to hone her career stateside and snagged a spot on the US version of The Voice, reports the Mirror.
Kelly, no stranger to the music contest scene with her stints on The X Factor and coaching talents down under on The Voice Australia, will take a seat alongside will.i.am, Sir Tom Jones, and last year’s additions, McFly's own Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones.
Getting buzzed about her new gig, Kelly gushed: "I am excited to join The Voice UK as a coach, and am looking forward to working with the excellent and passionate coaches the show is known for."
Her enthusiasm didn’t stop there, as she added: "I can't wait to hear all the new talent and to go to battle for my team. Let's go!"
Emma Willis is set to return as the cherished host, playing a key part in helping the mentors unearth a new singing sensation with a £50,000 prize and a coveted record deal with Universal Music up for grabs.
Emma enthused about the upcoming series: "I'm so excited to be back for another series of The Voice UK. It's one of the most joyful shows to work on - full of passion, talent and of course those unforgettable moments when the chairs turn.
"With our brilliant coaches returning and the utterly fabulous Kelly Rowland joining the panel, I know this series is going to be something really special."
Gear up for The Voice UK as it commences filming this summer, brought to us by Lifted Entertainment, part of ITV Studios, and catching our eyes on ITV1 and ITVX.
The Voice UK is available to watch on ITVX.
