Kenny Jones, the longtime personal tailor to renowned Nigerian preacher Pastor Paul Adefarasin, has shared a powerful testimony of how his life and business took a dramatic turn for the better following a life-changing encounter with the clergyman in 2012.

Now a celebrated fashion designer with a clientele that includes Nigerian senators and governors, Jones was invited by Pastor Adefarasin to share his story before the congregation at House on the Rock.

The emotional moment, captured in a video that has since gone viral on TikTok, has resonated widely.

Before handing the microphone to Jones, recounted the tailor’s humble beginnings, describing him as a hardworking man whose success was built on discipline and divine favor. “He used to take taxis to bring my clothes,” Adefarasin recalled. “Now he owns a fleet of cars and runs a thriving fashion business.”

Fighting back tears, Jones described how the mentorship and discipline from the prominent Lagos pastor redirected his life.

“When I met him, I was just a small boy that didn’t know where I was going,” he said. “One day, he came downstairs and said, ‘Kenny, the whole body of Christ needs you. We won’t allow you to ruin yourself.’”

He went on to share how Pastor Adefarasin’s strict standards—especially concerning deadlines—instilled in him a strong work ethic.

“If you’re supposed to bring my cloth on Monday and you bring it on Tuesday, I’ll deduct ₦10,000… I gave myself sense,” Jones recounted.

The fashion entrepreneur credited this “tough love” with shaping his professionalism, helping him build a reputation for excellence.

He also revealed that he recently handled the wardrobe for a high-profile wedding attended by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and lawmakers from Abuja.
