Bardem's iconic performance earned the acclaimed actor his first career Oscar for Best Supporting Actor, while the Coens took home the Oscars for Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Adapted Screenplay. While the Coen brothers haven't made a film together since 2018's The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, both have gone off and made their own separate movies. Most recently, Ethan Coen's Drive-Away Dolls landed in theaters in 2024 as the legendary duo was reportedly due to start working on a new horror film. However, the reunion is apparently being pushed back a few more years as Joel Coen is reportedly set to direct a new film this year, according to World of Reel.
