The ANC Ran the Best-Run Country in Africa Into the Dirt - Video
When the African National Congress (ANC) took power in 1994, South Africa was the continent’s economic powerhouse. It had a functional government, strong institutions, and a thriving private sector. The country was respected globally, with a capable military, a reliable judiciary, and world-class infrastructure.
Fast forward 30 years, and the ANC has systematically destroyed what was once Africa’s most prosperous nation.
Under ANC rule, South Africa’s economy has stagnated. Once the continent’s leader in GDP, it has been overtaken by Nigeria and Egypt. Unemployment has skyrocketed to over 32%, with youth unemployment nearing 60%. Corruption, mismanagement, and failed policies like Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) have chased away investors and crippled growth.
The ANC allowed state capture to flourish under Jacob Zuma, with billions looted from state-owned enterprises like Eskom, Transnet, and SAA. The Gupta scandal exposed how deeply corruption had infected the government. Even under Cyril Ramaphosa, corruption remains rampant, with little accountability for those who stole from the people.
Eskom, once a reliable electricity provider, now imposes daily blackouts due to ANC mismanagement. Water infrastructure is crumbling, roads are deteriorating, and public hospitals are in crisis. Crime is out of control, with South Africa now ranking among the most dangerous countries in the world.
The ANC promised “a better life for all,” but instead, it has delivered poverty, inequality, and despair. While ANC elites enrich themselves, millions of South Africans suffer in townships with no jobs, no electricity, and no hope.
The ANC inherited a functional, prosperous country and ran it into the ground. Instead of building on South Africa’s strengths, it destroyed them through greed, incompetence, and ideological fanaticism. Unless South Africans demand real change, the country’s decline will only continue.
The ANC must be held accountable for turning Africa’s brightest hope into yet another failed state by looting and tainting the visions of Madiba.
