Terrifying moment Boeing 787-9 clashes with Airbus on runway - NewsBreak
Two Vietnam Airlines aircraft were grounded on Friday after a taxiway collision at Noi Bai International Airport resulted in severe tail damage to one of the planes.
The incident happened just before 2:30 p. m. local time, when a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner was taxiing toward the runway, as reported by Mediaite. Video footage posted online shows the aircraft passing a stationary Airbus A321, also operated by Vietnam Airlines, which was waiting for clearance to depart for Ho Chi Minh City.
The right wingtip of the Dreamliner struck the tail of the parked Airbus, slicing through it and nearly severing it completely, reported the Express US. Both planes were immediately taken out of service following the collision.
