Ahmedabad: The city experienced normal maximum and minimum temperatures on Monday, at 40.7°C and 25.7°C, respectively. According to IMD forecast, the maximum temperature on Tuesday could be around 41°C.
A gradual rise of 2-3 degrees is expected over the next three days. The forecast adds that coastal areas may experience high heat and humidity over the next five days.
At 42°C, Rajkot recorded the highest maximum temperature, followed by 41.6°C in Amreli, and 41.2°C in Kandla and Surendranagar. This summer, there has been a periodic rise and fall due in temperature due to the impact of Western Disturbance and a recent cyclonic circulation. tnn
