TCN to carry out scheduled maintenance at Iwo substation
The Transmission Commission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has informed the general public that the substation at Iwo in Osun State is to undergo scheduled maintenance.
Ndidi Mbah, the General Manager, Public Affairs for the TCN, made this known in a statement on X.
“The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) informs the general public that it will carry out routine annual maintenance on one of its 40MVA 132/33kV transformers at Iwo Transmission Substation on Thursday,” Mbah said.
“As a result, there would be a temporary power interruption affecting Iwo Town, Bowen University, Ile-Ogbo, Kuta, Ogbagba, Awo and Rabbish as Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBDC) will not be able to off-take electricity from the transformers to customers in the area.”
The TCN also apologised to the affected customers who would have to be without power pending the completion of the maintenance period.
“We regret any inconvenience this may cause and assure that power will be restored immediately after the completion of the maintenance,” he said.
