Taraba governor pledges transformative development to silence critics
Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has vowed to respond to critics of his administration with exceptional performance, promising widespread development across the nooks and crannies of the state.
Speaking at a civic reception held in his honour by the people of Southern Taraba in Wukari local government council, Kefas said his government was focused on delivering impactful projects that would transform lives and disprove naysayers.
“I will disgrace those who doubt this administration with performance,” Kefas declared, highlighting key plans including the extension of rural electrification to all 168 council wards and the construction of critical road infrastructure to tackle the state’s transportation challenges.
He urged residents of Southern Taraba to remain patient, assuring them that meaningful and lasting development requires time and strategic planning.
Expressing gratitude for the honour, Kefas pledged to remain committed to the region’s progress.
“I will not let Southern Taraba down,” he said.
In his goodwill message, former Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Chief Michael Aondokaa (SAN), lauded the governor for fostering peace between the Tiv and Jukun communities in Taraba.
He described Kefas as a “brilliant and peace-loving leader” and called on all citizens to rally behind his administration.
“I will mobilize Tiv communities in both Benue and Taraba to support Governor Kefas for the sake of lasting peace and development,” Aondokaa said.
Also speaking at the event, His Royal Majesty Manu Ishaku, the Aku Uka of Wukari, praised the governor’s strides in education, healthcare, and security.
He hailed Kefas as “a worthy son who has made the people of the zone proud.”
