Tractors and Farm Equipment Ltd (TAFE) is aiming to sell over 200,000 tractors in FY26, up from around 175,000 units in FY25, as it looks to outpace industry growth through new product launches and expanded manufacturing, reports Economic Times.

In May 2025, TAFE sold 17,767 tractors, registering 12.4per cent domestic growth and 24per cent export growth, beating the industry average of 9 per cent and one per cent , respectively.

New products from its Tamil Nadu plant — including a six-row paddy transplanter, track harvester, and tractor cabins — are set to support growth. Meanwhile, the Deutz engine programme at Alwar is on track, with output projected to rise to 130,000 units by FY28, from 70,000 in FY25.

In a major development, TAFE has secured exclusive brand rights to Massey Ferguson in India, covering electric tractors, implements, harvesters, telematics, drones, and precision farming tools.

TAFE thanked its board, advisors, and Amalgamations Group Chairman A. Krishnamoorthy for their support in reaching the agreement.

With a strong product pipeline and brand consolidation, TAFE is poised for continued leadership in India’s agri-machinery sector.
