With his new project, the Southwest Alliance Games (SWAG) 2025, Dr. Alfred is on a mission to ignite the future, sparking hope and transformation for individuals in sports and communities alike. 

The initiative, a unifying sports movement, is designed to discover emerging under-18 athletes from across the Southwest region, encourage mass participation in sports, and provide opportunities for talented athletes to showcase their skills and build a career in sports. 

Scheduled for 2025, the event will bring together promising young talents from Lagos, Oyo, Ogun, Ondo, Osun, and Ekiti to compete in various sporting disciplines including Athletics (Track & Field), Basketball, Boxing, Football, Table Tennis, and Traditional African games like Ayo-Olopon and Abula. 

As excitement builds and the countdown begins, the Southwest Games (SWAG) stands tall as a historic gathering, with Nigeria’s elite—from royal figures to influential executives, governors, and sporting legends throwing their support behind Dr. Lanre Alfred’s highly anticipated vision for a renaissance in sports development.
