Entrepreneur and content creator Ankur Warikoo recently shared insights into his 2024 income, revenue streams, and investment strategy on X. Warikoo shared valuable insights on how to approach income and investments, stressing a key message: while many people are passive with their income—simply showing up to jobs, burning out, and settling for a salary—others tend to be overly active with their investments, constantly tracking stocks, trading, and exploring risky ventures.

Warikoo advocates for flipping this mindset: he believes individuals should be active with their income, exploring diverse ways to earn more and never stopping the hustle. At the same time, he suggests becoming passive with investments, favoring long-term, low-maintenance strategies like SIPs. Along with these reflections, Warikoo also provided a detailed breakdown of his 2024 revenue streams, business structure, and investment portfolio, giving a rare glimpse into how he balances entrepreneurship and financial growth.

In 2024, Warikoo’s ventures generated revenue of ₹16.84 crore (USD 2 million) across multiple income streams:

Speaking engagements: ₹2.38 crore (USD 280,000)
Book royalties: ₹1.65 crore (USD 200,000)

Brand collaborations and endorsements: ₹2.76 crore (USD 325,000)

Education platform WebVeda: ₹9.56 crore (USD 1.1 million)

Reflecting on his earnings, Warikoo remarked, “It is insane that I can earn this much, for something that I love doing.” However, he clarified that these figures represent revenue, not personal earnings. “There are a lot of expenses after this number – team salary, marketing, software. Our profit is between 20-25% of this number,” he added.

Along with details about his business, Warikoo shared his investment portfolio, emphasizing his approach to financial growth. He revealed that the company’s profits are deployed into various assets, maintaining a profitable EBITDA margin of around 20-25%. Warikoo’s current investments include:

Mutual Funds: ₹70L
PMS (Portfolio Management Services): ₹8.13Cr
Startup Debt: ₹1.62Cr
Startup Equity: ₹3.49Cr
Stocks India: ₹95L
Stocks US: ₹93L
Real Estate: ₹3.75Cr

Totaling approximately ₹20 crore (USD 2.35M), his investments grew by 48% from the previous year. Despite this aggressive investment strategy, Warikoo emphasized that none of his investments are actively managed, spending less than five minutes a month monitoring them. He is happy to pay fees to experts managing his money.

Warikoo also stressed an important point in his tweet: “A lot of us are very passive with our income. We are living our jobs as dead people. Showing up, burning out, earning a salary – and somehow being okay with this life. But on the other hand, we are extremely active with our investments. What if you flipped this? Get active with your income. Don’t just settle for a salary. Explore ways to earn more. Don’t ever stop hustling for it.”

He concluded, "Get passive with your investing. The boring SIPs. Active with your income. Passive with your investments."

Warikoo, known for his expertise in entrepreneurship and personal finance, operates his business through a holding company co-owned with his wife. The company is divided into three units:

Focuses on content creation across platforms like YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, and more.
