Stone pelting between two groups occurs in Maharashtra after accident

NEW DELHI: An incident of stone-throwing occurred in Maharashtra's Nandurbar city after two groups confronted each other following a collision between a rickshaw and a motorcycle, the police reported on Monday.
According to the authorities, the incident unfolded in the aftermath of the accident within the city.

Police forces have been deployed at the scene to maintain order. No damage to property or casualties have been reported thus far.

"At approximately 10 pm yesterday, members of a particular community began throwing stones. Earlier in the day, an offence had been registered in connection with an incident, which served as the background for the stone-throwing. The deployment of police forces at the scene successfully contained the situation, preventing the violence from spreading to other areas. There has been no property damage or casualties reported. The registration of the offence is underway, and we have identified several suspects," stated assistant superintendent of police Shravan S Dutt.
