Stephen Curry still on track to return in Game 6 at the earliest
Fourteen turnovers and only 23 attempted 3s for the Warriors. Difficult formula offensively without Steph Curry. They were in it most of the night, got 63 pts from Butler/Kuminga, but lost the fourth quarter 33-24 and have now lost control of the series. It’s 2-1 Timberwolves. – 11:23 PM

Warriors and Timberwolves tied 1-1 as series shifts to San Francisco. Expect more Kuminga and TJD in Game 3 as Steve Kerr rearranges his rotation without Steph Curry. It’s Saturday night, Monday night. Feels like GSW needs at least one to give Curry a chance at returning. – 11:02 PM

Warriors needed to figure out the right rotation choices in a Timberwolves matchup without Steph Curry. They’re down 20 entering the 4Q, but they seem to have discovered TJD and Kuminga as rotation options moving forward to help open up the offense without Curry. – 10:28 PM

Stephen Curry isn’t sure how long it will take to return from his first ever hamstring injury. He said hamstrings can be tricky and can fool you into thinking you’re ready. He called it “a gut punch” because there might not be many more opportunities left espn.com/nba/story/_/id… – 3:43 PM

Steph Curry had 13 points in 13 minutes vs Minnesota. Then his hamstring gave.
“The way we were playing, how I was playing that first half, I was starting to feel really, really good about where we were at. Then you kind’ve get gut-punched like that.”

Asked if he will get to a point where he will have to fight the urge to potentially try to come back too soon, Steph Curry said he is a ways away from that point. He said he isn’t able to take stationary shots right now. Just doing “a lot” of treatment. – 1:32 PM

Steph Curry said he doesn’t have a target return date: “No. and from all that I’m learning about how quickly you can get back, there has to be a healing process. You can’t accelerate.”

Stephen Curry called his hamstring injury a “gut punch” considering how well he was playing and the Warriors fighting to get out of Rd. 1 against Houston – 1:13 PM
You got a chance to play with Steph, yeah? How was that experience? Did you see that he would become the guy who he is today? Monta Ellis: No, I didn’t. But I knew he worked hard though. He definitely would pay attention to the things I was doing; he paid a whole lot of attention to it and he put that into his game. Now, when he came around, it was just — it was messy. He just came into a messy situation, messy environment. You had teammates that were talking stuff to the owners about what the players were doing at the time, this and that. So, he came in — it was messy. But did I know he was going to be that? Nah. But he did work hard though. So now, seeing it? Not surprised. Not surprised. Because of the work. Once you learn — even with him, though — he came in small. Once he figured out how to be able to get strong and take physicality, that’s when his career changed. -via YouTube / May 10, 2025
