Published 3 weeks ago1 minute read

Service truck manufacturer Stellar Industries Inc. is celebrating its 35th year of bringing ground-breaking products and innovations to the tire service industry.

Founded in 1990 by Francis Zrostlik, Gary Bomstad and Jim Vlaanderen, Stellar was the first U.S. company to design and build a domestic hydraulic hook lift. In 1990, the Garner, Iowa-based company introduced its first telescopic service crane.

"Since then, Stellar has continuously expanded its product portfolio, offering market-leading silutions such as patented aluminum mechanic truck bodies, tire handling equipment, hook lifts and more," say Stellar officials.

In 2023, Stellar became 100% employee-owned and now has more than 800 employee/owners, "each of whom is integral to the company's day-to-day operatins and long-term strategy."

Though "firmly planted in the heartland of America, the company's impact is felt on a global scale."

"Reaching 35 years is an incredible milestone, but we're not stopping there," says Stellar President Dave Zrostlik. "We're continuously looking for new challenges and new ways to improve."
