Gipuzkoa keeps Sturup for another season - June 20, 2025

Guuk Gipuzkoa Basket San Sebastian (Primera FEB) re-signed 28-year-old Danish international 197cm swingman Mads Sturup for the new season. He is the second import player in the roster, with Senegalese Tanor Ngom having signed earlier. Sturup has played there for the last two seasons.
He has been a member of the Danish international program for some years. He has regularly played for the Danish senior team since 2017 and previously for the Under 18 National Team in 2015.
Sturup also represented Denmark at the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 European Pre-Qualifiers four years ago. During this event he scored an average of 7.5 ppg and had 5 rpg.
He has played previously in Spain between Tenerife, Nautico Tenerife, Zamora, Ilerdauto Nissan Pardinyes Lleida, and Avila, and during Denmark between Horsholm and Naestved.
Sturup played in the final of Basketball Champions League in 2019.
