ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Site Procurement and Warehouse Manager will be responsible for leading, coordinating, and optimising procurement and warehouse operations across all Belgian sites. The role ensures the timely and cost-effective sourcing of goods and services while maintaining optimal inventory levels and ensuring warehouse efficiency, compliance, and safety. The manager will act as a key interface between central procurement and site operations to align strategies as well between plants management and the site procurement and warehouse teams, to drive performance, and support operational continuity. The Site Procurement & Warehouse Manager's scope of responsibilities include:
Procurement Responsibilities:
? Lead local procurement operations across all Belgian sites, ensuring alignment with EU procurement strategy.
? Coordinate with category managers and central procurement to implement sourcing strategies locally.
? Manage purchase requisitions, approvals, supplier performance, and compliance at site level.
? Monitor and report on key procurement KPIs (OTD, cost savings, compliance rates).
? Identify local sourcing opportunities, risk mitigation plans, and supplier consolidation initiatives.
? Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and procedures (incl. ethical sourcing and ESG standards).
? Support Capex and Opex planning in collaboration with local site and finance teams.
? Work in collaboration with outsourcing company for smooth P2P activities.
Warehouse & Inventory Management
? Oversee the operations of all site warehouses in Belgium, including inbound, storage, picking, and outbound flows.
? Define and implement efficient stock control practices (min/max, safety stock, cycle counting, obsolete stock management).
? Ensure accurate material master data and MRP parameters in coordination with master data and MRP controller.
? Supervise warehouse personnel and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
? Support digitisation and automation initiatives related to warehouse management systems (e.g., SAP WM/EWM).
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
? Act as the primary interface between plant/site management and the procurement & warehouse teams, ensuring clear communication of operational priorities and needs.
? Lead and develop a team of local buyers and warehouse supervisors across sites.
? Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders (maintenance, production, finance, etc.) to understand operational needs.
? Ensure a high level of service to internal clients while maintaining cost-efficiency and process discipline.
? Organise regular cross-site coordination meetings to foster best practice sharing.
? Set clear objectives and provide guidance to ensure team members achieve their goals.EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate:
? Bachelor's degree in Business, Procurement
? At least 10 years of experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain roles, with at least 4 years in a leadership capacity.
? Level of proficiency with core Procurement skills (e.g., S2P, P2P2, supplier management and performance, supply market analysis, Procurement Excellence, etc.)
? Strong knowledge of SAP (MM/WM) and experience with warehouse tools.
? Experience in industrial, or manufacturing environments preferred.
? Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and French with ability to confidently present complex information
? Analytical, sound judgement and decision making, problem solver
? Demonstrated track record of delivering against targets and objectives
? Demonstrated collaborative mindset and behaviour
? Results oriented and able to independently create and deliver
? Process Excellence and LEAN skills and experience (ideally green belt six sigma)
? Ability to develop a high level of credibility with internal stakeholdersHYBRID WORKING PATTERN:
This role is predominantly on-sites in Belgium in La Louviere and Clabecq
On occasions and with prior management agreement working from home may be accommodated
