Sienna Skies Launch 'Elated' Music Festival With Stacked Lineup
Sydney post-hardcore veterans Sienna Skies are back — and they’re bringing a whole bloody festival with them.
To celebrate the release of their heart-punching new single ‘Elated’, the band are throwing their very own mini-festival, aptly titled ‘Elated Music Festival’, going down at Sydney’s iconic Lansdowne Hotel on Saturday, 30th August.
Joining them on the lineup? A killer mix of old mates and fresh faces, including Melbourne post-hardcore cult legends City Escape, who are reuniting to mark 15 years since their Avalanches EP, as well as one of the country’s most savage new metalcore exports, Harroway, who are fresh off a tour with Make Them Suffer and Ocean Sleeper.
Rounding out the bill are heavy hitters Alienist (Wollongong), St Sinner (Canberra), Aurateque, Elara, and Wicked Envy.
And the fun doesn’t stop when the guitars are unplugged, either. After the bands wrap up, Last Words DJs will take over, spinning all your punk, rock and metal faves til the wee hours, from My Chem to Slipknot, Fall Out Boy to Bullet For My Valentine.
To boot, The Lansdowne’s fancy new fit-out includes a smokers’ deck, pool table, arcade games, and a SEX TOY CLAW MACHINE (don’t know who asked for that, but OK!!!)
As for Sienna Skies’ new single itself, ‘Elated’ is a rousing call to live loud, love big, and scream your lungs out while you’ve still got air in them.
“Elated is about enjoying life while it’s still there to be lived,” the band explain. “Because no one else is going to live it for you.”
