Two popular stage productions are set to perform at Lighthouse, Poole.

The Shawshank Redemption and The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) will both have runs at the theatre starting next year.

The Shawshank Redemption will have a five-night run starting from Tuesday, January 27.

The story, based on Stephen King’s 1982 novella, was famously turned into the 1994 film starring Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman.

The stage version was adapted by Owen O’Neill and Dave John and directed by David Esbjornson.

The Reduced Shakespeare Company will return to Poole with a vibrant new company staging The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) from Tuesday, April 21, to Saturday, April 25.

The show is an irreverent, fast-paced romp through the Bard's plays and was London's longest-running comedy having clocked nine years at the Criterion Theatre.

Priority booking for both shows opens for Lighthouse Friends only on Thursday, July 3, ahead of general sale on Friday, July 4.

To gain access to priority booking, Friends memberships are available from just £50 a year.
