July 2025
For Singapore’s momentous SG60 milestone, the National Day Parade returns to the Padang once again. However, ticket-less and diehard followers of the ever-popular National Day fireworks don’t have to worry. The sparks will still light up Marina Bay for National Day 2025, before extending to heartland locations the day after. Also look out for the inaugural Jump of Unity and integrated Mobile Column featuring coordinated air, land, and sea displays.
We round up all the key vantage points to stake out, ranging from official NDP 2025 events and prime picnic spots to rooftop restaurants and staycations with a view. All family-friendly options, of course. From 1965 to 2025, Singapore’s certainly come a long way. Now, “Here We Are”, and it’s time to celebrate together. Majulah Singapura!

Only a lucky few — about 27,000 — get to personally witness the grand event on 9 August, it’s true. But everyone else can either catch live telecasts or admire the fireworks in person from a distance. Besides the actual day, there will also be previews on 26 July and 2 August, albeit with scaled-down pyrotechnics. While the programme starts at 5.30pm, expect the fireworks displays to begin at around 7.30pm. More details

So that even more can be part of the excitement, the NDP Bay Celebrations extend to five other satellite sites. One of these is The Meadow at Gardens by the Bay. Last but not least, head to the iconic Promontory @ Marina Bay. Besides 9 August, attendees get to enjoy the fireworks in person during NDP Previews on 26 July and 2 August. Themed “Majulah SG Youth”, there will also be exclusive stage performances, interactive installations, and inclusive fringe activities. Finally, be wowed by a powerful multi-sensory experience that represents youth coming together to shape Singapore’s future. More details
If you’re not keen on jostling amid crowds downtown, especially with little ones in tow, we feel you. On 10 August, from 4pm to 9pm, gather at selected heartland locations instead. Details are still sketchy, but expect stage performances, the Mobile Column display, family activities, carnival fun, NDP packs, and of course, dazzling fireworks. More details to follow
