SEDC: South-East govs, Kalu, Arthur Eze, Achebe, others storm Enugu

The high-profile event will take place at the Oranto International Airport Hotel, Enugu.
Dignitaries expected at the reception include the governors of the five South-East states: Alex Otti (Abia), Chukwuma Soludo (Anambra), Francis Nwifuru (Ebonyi), Peter Mbah (Enugu), and Hope Uzodimma (Imo).
Also in attendance will be former Governor of Abia State and the Chairman, Senate Committee on SEDC, Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu, billionaire businessman Chief Arthur Eze, and the Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Nnaemeka Achebe.
Other prominent guests include representatives from the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF), the Minister of State for Finance, Dr. Dorris Anita, and the Clerk of the Senate, Andrew Ogbonnia Nwoba.
Traditional rulers from across the region, including HRM Eze Dr. E.C. Okeke, and the chairmen of traditional rulers from Abia, Ebonyi, Enugu, and Anambra states, will also grace the occasion.
The Vice Chancellors of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Professor Oguejiofor Ujam and the Federal University of Technology, Owerri Professor Nnenna Otti are on the guest list, alongside key business and religious leaders such as Innoson Group CEO, Chief Innocent Chukwuma, and the Bishop of Nike Diocese, Anglican Communion.
The reception will also bring together members of the Senate and House of Representatives Committees on SEDC, as well as the Southeast state chairmen of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The South-East Development Commission was established to drive economic growth, infrastructure development, and regional integration in the Southeast region.
