Chris Beard has done a phenomenal job for Ole Miss in his second season at the helm of the men's basketball team. The Rebels are a lock for the NCAA Tournament and have the roster to make a deep March Madness run.

The second half of SEC play has been a bit rough for Beard's group, however, but the team rebounded with a nice win against Oklahoma on Saturday. Porter Moser, head coach of the Sooners, had high praise for the Rebels after the game and even thinks the team is poised for a big March.

"I think they can make a run to the final weekend," said Moser about Ole Miss, according to Brad Logan.

Ole Miss has proven that they can beat some of the best teams in the country, as evidenced by their wins against Alabama and Kentucky, but their consistency leaves something to be desired. Talent has not been an issue for the Rebels this season, but little things like rebounding and turnovers have plagued them in big games.

The SEC has been a gauntlet this year for men's basketball, so each of the teams in the conference is battle-tested. Ole Miss closes out the year with matchups against No. 3 Florida and No. 5 Tennessee before the conference tournament. The next few games should give Rebels fans a decent indication as to what their chances are in The Big Dance.
