Salman Khan's Sikandar Movie Release and Reviews

Salman Khan's latest action thriller, Sikandar, directed by AR Murugadoss, has made a grand entrance, coinciding with the Eid al-Fitr celebrations. The film, also starring Rashmika Mandanna, opened in theaters on March 30, 2025, to a delighted audience. However, its release was unfortunately marred by piracy issues.
Sikandar is already being hailed by fans as the perfect Eid gift, with electrifying responses witnessed in theaters. Salman Khan's grand entry scene and intense action sequences have particularly resonated with audiences, who have been cheering and whistling throughout the film. Social media is abuzz with praise, highlighting the adrenaline-pumping stunts, catchy dialogues, and emotional depth. Many are calling it a “paisa vasool” entertainer, reaffirming Salman’s star power.
The film's music, composed by Pritam with a background score by Santhosh Narayanan, has also garnered attention. Tracks like 'Zohra Jabeen,' 'Bam Bam Bhole,' 'Sikandar Naache,' and 'Hum Aapke Bina' showcase the vibrant compositions and the chemistry between Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna.
With such a strong start, Sikandar is expected to dominate the box office. The combination of Salman Khan's charismatic screen presence and AR Murugadoss’s stylish direction is predicted to make it one of the year's biggest hits.
In an unfortunate turn of events, Sikandar has fallen prey to piracy. Within hours of its release, pirated versions surfaced online. Keywords such as 'Sikandar Movie Download', 'Sikandar Movie HD Download', 'Sikandar Tamilrockers', 'Sikandar Filmyzilla', 'Sikandar Telegram Links', and 'Sikandar Movie Free HD Download' are being widely searched.
Reportedly, pirated copies are available on websites like Filmyzilla, Movierulez, Telegram, and Tamilrockerz, in various resolutions including 1080p, 720p, 480p, 360p, 240p, and HD. Accessing these links poses risks, including financial losses, malware, and diluting the efforts of the film industry. Piracy is a criminal offense under the Copyright Act of 1957, and Indiatimes does not promote or support it.
Meanwhile, Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran’s L2: Empuraan, released on March 27, 2025, continues to perform strongly at the box office. Despite mixed reviews, the film has maintained a rock-steady hold, registering advance booking sales of ₹10.37 crore gross on its fourth day. This is only a slight drop of around 3% compared to the previous day's ₹10.68 crore gross. Kerala shows the best trends in pre-sales, contributing around ₹7.64 crores alone.
Notably, L2: Empuraan has outperformed Sikandar in advance booking sales. On its fourth day, L2: Empuraan scored better than Sikandar's first-day pre-sales of ₹10.01 crores gross. In its first two days, L2: Empuraan collected ₹32.75 crores in India and amassed ₹103.48 crore gross worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing Malayalam film of 2025.
