Majhi Mumbai has been the standout team of the tournament, finishing at the top of the standings with 18 points after winning nine of their 10 league matches. They registered double victories over Falcon Risers Hyderabad, Bangalore Strikers, Chennai Singams, and Tigers of Kolkata before sealing their spot in the final with a commanding win in Qualifier 1.
The only team to defeat Majhi Mumbai this season is their final opponent, Srinagar Ke Veer. Both teams won one match each in the league stage, with Majhi Mumbai securing a seven-wicket victory in their first encounter, while Srinagar Ke Veer responded with a win by the same margin in the return fixture.
Majhi Mumbai’s batting has been led by Rajat Mundhe, who has scored 261 runs in 11 innings, making him the tournament’s second-highest run-getter behind Srinagar’s Sagar Ali (453 runs). Mohammed Nadeem has also contributed significantly with 152 runs. However, their real strength lies in their bowling attack, which has been one of the best in the league.
Three Majhi Mumbai bowlers are among the tournament's top five wicket-takers. Abhishek Kumar Dalhor leads the charts with 22 wickets, followed by Ankur Singh with 17 scalps, while Vijay Pawle is joint third with 14 wickets. With an almost flawless campaign so far, Majhi Mumbai will be eager to avenge their only defeat and claim the
ISPL Season 2
title.
Srinagar Ke Veer, who finished third in the league stage with five wins from 10 matches, took the tougher route to the final. After a strong start with back-to-back victories, they hit a rough patch with four consecutive defeats. However, they staged a remarkable comeback with three successive wins before concluding the league stage with a loss.
