Ryan Nembhard Invited to NBA Draft Combine

Ryan Nembhard of Gonzaga has received an invitation to the NBA Draft Combine following a strong performance at the G-League Combine in Chicago. Nembhard, who led the NCAA in assists in 2024-25 with 9.8 per game (344 total), has impressed NBA scouts with his passing ability and improved shooting touch.
Libaan Osman of the Toronto Star noted that Nembhard's passing ability was evident in his two games at the G League Elite Camp, where he had 9 assists in the first game. Osman also highlighted Nembhard's improved shooting during drills on day 2, suggesting that NBA personnel would be impressed.
In the final scrimmage at the G-League Combine, Nembhard hit a clutch three-pointer to lead his team to a 101-98 victory. He finished the game with 11 points, six assists, and two rebounds. NBA scouts were also impressed with his performance in shooting drills, where he demonstrated his capabilities:
- 15-25 (60%) on spot-up shooting, tied for 11th
- 24-30 (80%) on shooting off the dribble, tied for 2nd
- 19-25 (76%) on three-point star, ranked 2nd
- 8-10 (80%) on free throws, tied for 11th
Throughout his collegiate career with Creighton Bluejays and Gonzaga, Nembhard started in 134 games, averaging 11.7 points with a shooting split of 43.2% from the field, 40.4% from three-point range, and 77.0% from the free-throw line. He also contributed 3.5 rebounds and 1.7 steals. With 882 career assists, ranking him No. 21 on the all-time college basketball list, Nembhard is making a case for himself as a late-round draft pick.
Nembhard will continue working in Chicago as the combine continues through May 18th. The 2025 NBA Draft is scheduled for June 25th at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
