RoDTEP Rates Updated to Match Customs Tariff 2025
Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, has issued Notification No. 10/2025-26 dated May 26, 2025, to update the Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products (RoDTEP) schedule. This change aligns the RoDTEP scheme’s rate and cap structure (Appendix 4R) with amendments made to the First Schedule of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, as introduced in the Finance Act, 2025. These updates are effective from May 1, 2025.
The revision affects specific Harmonized System (HS) Codes and is aimed at maintaining consistency between export incentives under RoDTEP and the modified customs tariff structure. Exporters are advised to refer to the DGFT website (www.dgft.gov.in) under the ‘Regulations > RODTEP’ section for the detailed schedule of revised RoDTEP rates and value caps applicable from the effective date.
The changes were made under the authority granted by the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 and the current Foreign Trade Policy 2023. This update ensures regulatory alignment following tariff modifications and supports accurate application of export incentives.
The notification has been issued with the approval of the Minister of Commerce & Industry and is intended to streamline export procedures in line with updated customs duties.
In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 3 read with 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 read with Para 1.02 of the Foreign Trade Policy 2023, as amended from time to time, the Central Government hereby makes amendments in Appendix 4R, i.e. the Schedules of rates and caps for the RoDTEP scheme w.e.f. 01.05.2025:

Consequent to the amendments made under the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 through Finance Act, 2025, certain changes in RoDTEP Schedule (Appendix 4R) have been made w.e.f. 01.05.2025 to align it with the Schedule of the Customs Tariff Act. The RoDTEP rates for these items w.e.f. 01.05.2025 onwards are indicated in the table at the link provided above.
This issues with the approval of the Minister of Commerce & Industry.
