Rod Stewart is getting his flowers from the American Music Awards this year.
On Tuesday, May 20, CBS and Dick Clark Productions was announced that the "Forever Young" singer would be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2025 American Music Awards.
Stewart, 80, is also slated to sing of one of his "timeless classics" on the AMAs stage, marking his first performance at the awards show sine 2004.
"Sir Rod Stewart is a master showman whose charisma and energy have defied time and embody the very spirit of rock and roll, "executive producers Barry Adelman, EVP, Television, and Alexi Mazareas, SVP, Programming & Development, Dick Clark Productions said in a statement.
"We are looking forward to another epic performance on the AMAs stage as well as celebrating his incredible body of work when he receives the Lifetime Achievement Award."

Stewart is known for hit songs such as "Maggie May," "Hot Legs," "Infatuation," "Do You Think I’m Sexy," "Some Guys Have All the Luck," and "Tonight’s the Night." Throughout his career, he's had over 50 hit songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and 16 Hot 100 top 10 chart-toppers.
Up next for the Grammy winner is a performance at Glastonbury as one of the oldest musicians to play there. He will also be on the road this summer for his North American leg of his One Last Time World Tour.
The singer also has shows lined up at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in May, June, September and October.
Also being honored at the 2025 AMAs is Janet Jackson with the ICON Award. The award recognizes artists "whose music has had undeniable cultural and global influence over the music industry."
Jackson, 58, will also perform at the awards show, marking her first televised performance since 2018.

Stewart and Jackson will be joined onstage for performances by Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, Gloria Estefan, Benson Boone, Lainey Wilson, and Reneé Rapp.
The American Music Awards, hosted by Jennifer Lopez, will air on Monday, May 26 from Fontainebleau Las Vegas at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+.
