Rivers: Why I can't fight Fubara - Wike
Published 8 hours ago• 1 minute read
Speaking in an interview with BBC Pidgin published on Saturday, Wike dismissed reports of a feud between him and Fubara.
Wike clarified that his fight was with those pushing Fubara against him and not the suspended governor.
“That one is not a battle. He (Fubara) is my boy, he is my son, why will I fight with him? I’m only fighting against people who want to steal what they did not work for.
“The President called me to make peace; I said, ‘Boss, how will you tell me to make peace and I won’t?’
“When you don’t defeat them, they will think you….. Defeat them to the final stage.
“Now, they are ashamed because they are being defeated. They are the ones pushing Fubara,” Wike stated.
