Rain should be moving out by late morning
Southeast Texas — Light rain continues to fall across Southeast Texas, but Your Weather Authority expects most of it to be east of us by late this morning.

Hamshire-Fannett ISD is delaying school start times by three hours Wednesday due to the possibility of heavy rains.
Classes will start at 11:00 a.m.
Additionally, all buses will run three hours later than the normal schedule.
"The high school administration is currently working on rescheduling or postponing the times for Balfour appointments and Pre-Participation physicals," HFISD posted. "More information will be shared as soon as updates are finalized."
The Calcasieu Parish School Board says after participating in several weather briefings Tuesday and consulting with local meteorologists, it has concerns about heavy rainfall overnight and into the morning hours, potentially causing localized flooding.

All CPSB schools and facilities will be closed Wednesday, May 7.
"The safety of students, faculty, and staff is the primary focus, and closing school is in their best interest," says the CPSB. "The district plans to open as normal on Thursday, May 8."
