In another story, villagers in Murang'a were left in shock and fear after a human skull was found in a pastor's compound.
The pastor had woken up early and was doing some construction work with a few other men when they smelled a bad odour.
While looking around, they were shocked to discover the skull, which they suspected had been taken to the compound by a stray dog.
"The assistant chief arrived hastily, along with other neighbours. He started the investigations, and we want to know what happened. When we heard that human remains had been found at this pastor's compound and we rushed here to see what had happened. We arrived here and discovered it was a severed head," a neighbour said.
Elsewhere, a Murang'a woman's quick intervention saved her husband from intruders who stormed their home and posed as government officials who wanted to take him away.
The Murang'a businessman, Nduati Macharia, said the men stormed his home, posing as officials from the Kenya Revenue Authority who accused him of tax evasion and demanded to take him away.
"When they stormed the house, they found my wife, son and my worker and asked for me. I then saw one of them slapping my son, and I could not take it and I went to check who they were," he narrated.
