Putting Barrel Boys BBQ back on your radar

As I walked in, I heard someone say, “No food bloggers allowed”. Seeing as how I’m not worthy of being considered one, I figured that rule didn’t apply to me. So, I walked up to the counter and made my order.
Wagyu brisket slices were calling my name. For my sides I went with mac-n-cheese and one of my favorites, JoJo’s Pickled Slaw.
As always, this definitely hit the spot. Barrel Boys BBQ offers some of the most tender Q in the city, that’s why their motto is “We take it to tender town”. The sides were also a hit, which I appreciate. There are many places in town that don’t give enough love to sides; I feel they can be just as important as the main entrée themselves.
If anything, this blog was to put Barrel Boys BBQ back on your radar, especially if you haven’t been. A lot of the focus in town for BBQ tends to be the restaurants located closer to the central part of Wichita. I’m as much to blame as the next person for that, but please please please, give this place some love.
It’s excellent BBQ and also a great place to hang out in the warmer months.
