Rani then responded- “Hi AB, what is wrong with you?”
A user on Reddit said, “Because jaya didn’t approve of rani as apart of the bachchan family or so I’ve heard,I also have heard rumours that jaya has any say in this is ridiculous and the only word that matters is amitabh so this could just be very baseless but apparently rani and jaya had a bit of a disagreement.”
Another wrote- “I’ve heard these rumors too. Because Amitabh absolutely loved the idea of Rani as a future daughter-in- law, or so it seemed. Maybe it was Jaya. But why will she opposed Rani is so beyond me.”
A third commented- “Pamela Chopra who’s like besties with Jaya told the latter that Rani is seeing Aditya. The two things sorta overlapped. And Jaya wasn’t too pleased. AB seems like the kind of person who would never go against his parents so when Srs asked him to dump Rani, he did.”
The comment added, “Apparently on the sets of LCMD, there was a lot of bitterness bw Jaya and Rani and the two made snide remarks against each other.. like Taane maarna and all that.”
In an interview in 2023, the actress revealed, “I was being pushed into a corner in the industry (Bollywood). I had people not casting me, I had beef with people, I am not good at playing that game so I kind of was tired of the politics and I said I needed a break.”
She added, “This music thing gave me an opportunity to go into another part of the world, not crave for the movies I didn’t want to get but I would require to schmooze certain clubs and cliques of people. It would require groveling and I had worked a long time by then that I didn’t feel like I wanted to do it.”
