Operatives of the Edo State Police command have arrested one Friday Bassey (30) for allegedly stealing a Toyota Hilux vehicle in the state.

It was gathered that the vehicle was stolen from where it was parked at a location along Palace Road, Uteh community, Upper Mission Extension on April 14.

It was further gathered that the vehicle with registration number EDO 757 EA was recovered on April 22nd by the police.

The command’s spokesperson, CSP Moses Yamu, said the suspect’s arrest and recovery of the vehicle was carried out by the Aduwawa Divisional Police Station in a technical intelligence driven operation.

He said investigation had commenced on the matter, adding that the suspect had made useful statements that would assist the police.
