There will be only one (last) round of the Regular Season in 2Liga. The round was exceptionally exciting as three games ended with a tiny margin. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.
The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Prudnik (27-2) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Pleszew (22-7)
90-82. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Prudnik. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Pleszew looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Naturalized American swingman Michael Hicks (193-1983, college: Central Mo.) stepped up and scored 30 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners and Patryk Marek (194-1998) chipped in 25 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Krzysztof Grudzien (196-1992) nailed a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side and Adam Lisewski accounted for 22 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Maksymilian Motel (194-2000) came up with 18 points and 5 assists for Legionowo in the defeat. Legionowo's coach Lukasz Pacocha rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Minsk Maz. maintains fifth place with 18-11 record, which they share with 3 other teams. Legionowo at the other side keeps the second position with seven games lost. They share it with Pleszew and Gniezno. Minsk Maz. will play against higher ranked Tur Bielsk Pdl. (#3) in Bielsk Podlaski in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Very important is a road loss of third ranked Tur Bielsk Pdl. (21-8) against seventh ranked Lublinianka (17-12) on Saturday night.
