The music success party of the upcoming Pintu Ki Pappi was held in Mumbai and was a star-studded affair. While Akshay Kumar graced the trailer launch, the event, which was held on March 10, had Ajay Devgn and Rekha as the chief guests. Himesh Reshammiya and Udit Narayan, who sang songs for the film, also made their presence felt. Ajay Devgn kept his speech short yet impactful.

Ajay Devgn began by saying, “I am here for my friend Ganesh. Apart from being a friend, he’s such a fabulous choreographer too, jo mujh jaise aadmi ko bhi nacha deta hai! I am also here to wish for all three new talents. I hope they do a great job.”
When asked to give advice to the newcomers during their times of highs and lows, the superstar replied, “There are no highs and there are no lows. There’s only you with yourself. Apne kaam mein believe kijiye. Mehant karte rahiye. Let the world say what they want to. You all should continue working.”
Ajay Devgn was then asked about the time when he was launched with Phool Aur Kaante (1991). He replied, “I don’t even remember. It’s been 32-33 years. Those were different days. Itni media nahin thi. We would come to know a week after our film’s release whether or not it has worked. Humein bataya jaata tha ki aapki film chal gayi hai ya flop ho gayi hai. So, there was not much pressure. The present generation of actors faces far more pressure.”
How does Ajay Devgn deal with trolling? He exulted, “I don’t have time for it. Also, jo important log hai, unke baare mein toh sab baat karenge hi!” As expected, there was applause for his answer.
Ganesh Acharya then spoke highly of Ajay, “I lovingly call him ‘Boss’ (laughs). When he learns that I am going to choreograph his songs, he’s very relieved. He knows that I’ll make him do the ‘Singham’ or ‘Golmaal’ dance steps very easily. At times, he’s more confident than me. He says, ‘Ganesh aaya hai toh gaana khatam ho hi jaayega, even if we have only two hours in hand’!”
The star cast of Pintu Ki Pappi, Shushant Thamke, Jaanya Joshi and Viidhi, producer Vidhi Acharya and director Shiv Hare were also present at the success party. The film releases in cinemas on March 21.
