Philadelphia Orchestra Members Present Music From the Inside Out

Music lovers are invited to experience an extraordinary afternoon of world-class performance and engaging discussion as members of the renowned Philadelphia Orchestra present “Music From the Inside Out” on Sunday, March 2, at 2 p.m. The event will take place at the WCR Center for the Arts bringing together esteemed musicians and talented young performers for an unforgettable program. This collaboration is a celebration of the shared 20th anniversaries of both the WCR Center for the Arts and the Philadelphia Orchestra.
2 p.m. – Youth String Orchestra Performance
A combined student ensemble from Berks County and the Philadelphia International Music Festival (PIMF) will perform alongside Philadelphia Orchestra members in a special side-by-side experience. This segment will also feature a performance by violinist Mio Imai.
3 p.m. – Philadelphia Orchestra Members: “Music From the Inside Out”
The concert will highlight a captivating improvisation by Udi Bar-David (Cello) and Don Liuzzi (Principal Timpani), followed by a performance of Schubert’s Cello Quintet, featuring:
4 p.m. – Discussion, Q&A, and Reception
Following the performance, attendees will have the opportunity to engage with the musicians in a discussion and Q&A session, followed by a reception where guests can interact with the artists in a more intimate setting.
This event is a rare opportunity to witness members of one of the world’s most celebrated orchestras in a dynamic and personal setting. “Music From the Inside Out” explores the artistry and passion behind the music, offering audiences a deeper connection to the musicians and their craft.

In partnership with The GoggleWorks, the documentary film, “Music from the Inside Out” which provides background into the Philadelphia Orchestra, will be screened in the Albert & Eunice Boscov Theater, from Friday, Feb. 28, through Wednesday, March 5.
