Persona5 The Phantom X Highlights Student Life And Cast In New Promo Videos

Published 14 hours ago2 minute read

The official Western YouTube account for Persona5: The Phantom X has posted three videos promoting the title’s upcoming arrival.

Firstly, a video highlighting the student life aspect of the game was posted, featuring classes, sports, part-time jobs, and various other activities. Like other Persona titles, the protagonist has five social stats that are raised as these tasks are completed.

Another video features an interview with Ai Nonaka, the voice actress of the new original character, Lufel. She discusses the character himself, alongside stories from voice recording. Lastly, a 26-minute video featuring the Japanese voice actor of Joker, Jun Fukuyama, was posted, showcasing various gameplay avenues.

Set in a Tokyo where human desires have vanished, the game builds on the foundation of Persona 5 while branching off with its distinct implementations. Players control a brand-new protagonist who navigates school life by day and explores cognitive dungeons by night.

Further, a new band of Phantom Thieves steps up, each with their own stories and Personas. While this cast is the central collective facet, returning characters like Joker and the original Thieves will appear via special in-game contracts.

The core loop still leans into the signature coalescence of turn-based combat, daily time management, and relationship-building that the modern Persona games are known for. Players can balance part-time jobs and extracurricular clubs with dungeon runs and combat trials.

Several new gameplay additions will also be available, including a PvE combat mode called The Velvet Trials and expanded side content through a Synergy System. These mechanics allow players to unlock original side stories written and supervised by Atlus, strengthening bonds with new and returning characters. NPC events and other side stories will also be viewable.

Moreover, Guild features let players interact in-game. New palaces and Mementos refresh dungeon design, while NPC-focused events provide further opportunities to explore the vast cast. Mini-games add additional variety to the student life segments.

Persona5: The Phantom X will launch for PC via Steam and mobile devices via iOS and Android on June 26, 2025.
