Perry's Ice Cream announces 3 new flavors | Flipboard

Samut Songkhram, Thailand Footage shows hyper-realistic ice cream styled to resemble a plate of steak and fries. The deceptive meal of perfectly browned meat, sausages, egg, corn, and fries, is actually a dessert served at an ice cream shop in Thailand. Located on the outskirts of Bangkok, the gelato parlour called Aroi serves similar frozen treats intricately moulded to resemble Thai and Japanese cuisine. Scoops of colourful gelato are shaped in silicone moulds and carefully plated to look like popular Asian dishes like tonkatsu cutlets and tom yum noodles. Also among the handcrafted offerings are ice lollies shaped like beagles, cats, bears, and even pygmy hippos in the shape of internet star Moo Deng. Shop owner Sitanun Sumangkalasombat, 41, said: ˿Ĭve run the shop for six years and sold ordinary ice cream until early 2024. But I felt their appearance was too mundane, so I introduced animal-shaped ice creams with new flavours.π She said each creation is made using an imported Italian gelato machine, and the process takes between four hours to an entire day, depending on the design. Despite the intensive labour, the Sitanun said she has kept prices low so locals can afford her products. She said: ӛI want customers of all ages to enjoy high-quality yet affordable products—especially children, who absolutely love them.՚
