The Men's College World Series saw a simply legendary performance on Monday afternoon during an elimination game between Murray State and Arkansas. Arkansas Razorbacks pitcher Gage Wood delivered a historically dominant performance, and Patrick Mahomes took notice.
All Mahomes could say about the performance from Wood was the mind blown emoji. Simple but effective.

That would have been the first perfect game in CWS history. This no-hitter was only the third of its kind in the history of the Men's College World Series.
When people say that you are witnessing history, sometimes it is exaggeration. That's not the case here. This is arguably the most dominant performance on the mound in college baseball postseason history.
We will probably never see this sort of performance in the college baseball postseason again. Mahomes understood that.
Keep in mind that the legendary quarterback played plenty of baseball back in the day. He played in high school and began his era in college with time on the diamond, too. Ultimately, he chose the route on the gridiron, and Chiefs fans are thankful for that. Mahomes also played basketball earlier in his life.
Mahomes' father, Pat, was a professional baseball player.
We will see if this performance from Wood can help the Arkansas Razorbacks capture their first national title in college baseball. They've been extremely close in the past, but they have not finished the job quite yet.
