Parvati Shallow Talks Power and Reinvention on 'CBS Mornings'

Published 16 hours ago2 minute read

Parvati Shallow will appear live on CBS Mornings on Monday, July 7, 2025, to discuss her debut book and personal transformation. The Survivor winner joins the broadcast to promote Nice Girls Don’t Win: How I Burned It All Down to Claim My Power, a memoir reflecting on her time in the spotlight and beyond.

Shallow, one of the franchise’s most recognizable champions, won Survivor: Micronesia and competed four times across the long-running CBS reality series. Her new book tracks a post-reality TV trajectory that includes motherhood, advocacy, and a pivot toward speaking and writing. The memoir, which is released July 8, has drawn attention for its candid tone and rejection of traditional likeability politics.

Her appearance comes as part of CBS Mornings’ regular Monday mix of headline interviews and national reporting. Also featured on the July 7 episode is a fresh installment of “Beg-Knows America,” the network’s field series fronted by correspondent David Begnaud. The segment usually spotlights personal stories across the country, with Begnaud traveling to speak directly with subjects on the ground.

CBS Mornings airs weekdays at 7:00 a.m. on CBS. Anchored by Gayle King, Nate Burleson, and Tony Dokoupil, the show balances live reporting with interviews from across the political, entertainment, and cultural spectrum.
