The highly acclaimed Malayalam action thriller Pani, directed by Joju George, is now available for streaming on OTT platforms. The film will be available for streaming on Simply South from March 21, 2025, but only for audiences outside India. The streaming platform officially confirmed the release by sharing a poster on X (formerly Twitter) with the announcement: "#Pani, streaming on Simply South from March 21 worldwide, excluding India."

The storyline of Pani revolves around a married couple whose lives take a drastic turn following an encounter with two young men involved in criminal activities. Joju George plays Mangalath Giri, a powerful gangster from Thrissur, who leads a gang that includes his wife, Gowri (played by Abhinaya), and other close allies. Their peaceful life is disrupted when they are forced to confront the threats posed by two miscreants, Don (Sagar Surya) and Siju (Junaiz VP). As tensions escalate, Giri is left with no choice but to fight back, leading to a gripping battle of survival and revenge.

The film delves into themes of family, power, vengeance, and resilience, making it a compelling watch. Despite sparking controversy over a particular scene depicting sexual assault, the film received widespread acclaim for its storytelling and performances.
