Osun APC faults Adeleke's alleged resistance to reinstated LG chairmen

The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Sunday criticized Governor Ademola Adeleke for resisting the takeover of local government councils by sacked executives recently reinstated by the Court of Appeal.
APC State Chairman, Tajudeen Lawal, insisted that Adeleke should comply with the court’s verdict rather than opposing the reinstatement. He emphasized that the rule of law must prevail, urging the governor to ensure full implementation of the judgment.
He said: “Rather than stoking crisis in the state, the most honourable thing for Governor Ademola Adeleke to do is to comply with the court order and give protection to the reinstated council Chairmen and Councillors.
“This is not the time to weave up sentiments and seek undue public sympathy as the matter is constitutional and unassailable. Laws are not built on sentiment but rather fact.”
He noted: “As a responsible party, we have been civil and law abiding that is why we have been seeking every legal means to ensure that the law take its due course.
He alleged that Peoples Democratic Party PDP-led government under Governor Ademola Adeleke has deployed media tactic to mislead members of the public in the state to continue disobeding a valid Appeal Court judgment which reinstated the lawfully elected local government officers.“
Lawal said that the verdict will be implemented no matter the sentiment.
