Osimhen Transfer Speculation

Napoli is reportedly poised to make a significant move for Fiorentina striker Moise Kean, contingent on the sale of their star forward Victor Osimhen this summer. The Serie A club, under the management of Antonio Conte, is actively seeking a new centre-forward for the 2025-26 campaign and has identified Kean as a prime target following his impressive form last season. Kean, the former Everton striker, had a prolific spell at Fiorentina, netting 25 goals in 44 appearances across all competitions. This remarkable performance has attracted interest from various top European clubs, including Manchester United.

However, according to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, Manchester United's pursuit of the 25-year-old might be in vain as Napoli has prioritized Kean. The move for Kean is directly linked to Napoli's ability to offload Osimhen, who is currently one of the most sought-after players in world football. Several prominent clubs are vying for the Nigerian international's signature.

Among the clubs pursuing Osimhen, Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal has reportedly made a lucrative contract proposal valued at €160 million over four years. Premier League giants Chelsea and Liverpool are also reported to have a long-standing interest in the 26-year-old and are expected to compete for his acquisition. Liverpool, in particular, is looking to secure a replacement for Darwin Nunez.

Adding further clarity to the complex transfer saga, football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has dismissed any immediate possibility of Manchester United submitting a bid for Victor Osimhen. Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano stated that there is currently no breakthrough in any potential deal involving Manchester United and Napoli for Osimhen. He clarified that, as of now, the primary clubs battling to sign the Nigeria international are Juventus, Al-Hilal, and Galatasaray.

Romano further elaborated that both Al-Hilal and Galatasaray are actively working on a deal to secure Osimhen. While Galatasaray's financial proposal is distinct from Al-Hilal's, both clubs are engaged in discussions. Juventus has also made inquiries about Osimhen in recent weeks. The situation remains fluid, with Al-Hilal and Galatasaray currently pushing the hardest to finalize a transfer for the coveted striker.
