Oscar Nominations 2025: A while ago, The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced the 323 feature films that are eligible for this year's Oscars, with the 97th Academy Awards quickly approaching. Seven Indian films have made it onto the list of the 207 films competing for the prestigious Best Picture award. Scroll down to know about Indian films that are in contenders' list.

When is Oscar 2025 nominations event happening?

The Academy has announced that the nominations for the 97th Oscars will be revealed on Thursday, January 23rd, at 8:30 AM ET / 5:30 AM PT. The event will be streamed on multiple platforms, including Oscar.com, Oscars.org, ABC, Hulu, Disney+, and the Academy’s social media channels, such as TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook.

Hosts this year are Bowen Yang and Rachel Sennott.

For the Indian audience, the nominations event will start at 7PM on 23rd Janaury 2025.

Animated Short Film, Documentary Feature, Documentary Short, International Feature, Live Action Short, Makeup and Hairstyling, Original Score, Original Song, Sound, and Visual Effects are among the ten categories for which the Academy has also released the shortlists prior to the presentation.

Fifteen films advanced to the next round of voting in the International Feature Film category. Here's where they land on the map:
