One of the Best Spider-Man Movies Left Netflix, But Landed on a New Streaming Service the Same Day

Netflix subscribers can no longer stream one of the best Spider-Man films ever made, which was available on the platform up until April. However, this is good news for fans of the web-slinger who are subscribed to Disney+.

As of May 1, . This means that almost every Spider-Man films is available to stream on Disney+, though there are two major titles still missing. This includes Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, the predecessor to Across the Spider-Verse. The hit crossover film Spider-Man: No Way Home, which followed Tom Holland's Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far From Home, is also yet to be made available on Disney+.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse was directed by the team of Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson. It was written by Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Dave Callaham. Shameik Moore leads the voice cast as the voice of Miles Morales, the version of Spider-Man at the center of the story. The movie picks up with Miles teaming up Gwen Stacy's Spider-Woman (Hailee Steinfeld) and a team of Spider-People to take on a new threat, Spot (Jason Schwartzman).

The film also features the voices of Brian Tyree Henry (Jeff Morales), Lauren Velez (Rio Morales), Jake Johnson (Peter B. Parker), Issa Rae (Jess Drew), Karan Soni (Spider-Man India), Daniel Kaluuya (Spider-Punk), Oscar Isaac (Miguel O'Hara), Shea Whigham (George Stacy), Jorma Taccone (Vulture), Mahershala Ali (Aaron Davis), Harrel Jerome (Miles G. Morales), Andy Samberg (Scarlet Spider), Amandla Stenberg (Spider-Byte), Taran Killam (Web-Slinger), Kimiko Glenn (Peni Parker), and Nic Novicki (Lego Spider-Man). It is produced by Lord, MIller, Amy Pascal, Avi Arad, and Christina Steinberg.

Across the Spider-Verse is the second of a three-part story. It will be followed by Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, which has had a slow production process. The movie has been given a release date and is set to finally make its way to theaters on June 4, 2027. While there's still more than two years to go for the movie's arrival, the wait has been teased to be worth it for those involved with the animated movie's production.

"It’s animation, so it’s different and takes a long time," Karan Soni said last year, per Times of India. "We’ll see when it’s ready and when it ends up coming out, but, I’m really excited."

In a separate interview with Deadline, Brian Tyree Henry also teased, "It's in the works, it's coming.. You know how we do it. Oh yeah, . It's gonna go there."
