Ogun begins asphalt paving on Magboro road
The Ogun State Government has announced the commencement of asphalt paving on the 8.17KM Magboro Underpass–Magboro–Makogi Road, off the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
In a statement on Friday, the state revealed that the project marks a significant milestone in the ongoing reconstruction of the critical corridor.
It said the reconstruction of the road began as a strategic infrastructure intervention aimed at enhancing mobility and connectivity for Magboro and its surrounding communities; reducing travel time and traffic congestion; and boosting local economic activity and improving access for residents, commuters, and businesses
“Construction teams are fully mobilized and are making steady progress through the scheduled phases of the project. With asphalt now being laid, the transformation of the road is becoming clearly visible,’ the state said.
It promised to commence the installation of paving stones along the underpass in the coming days to add structure and aesthetics to the corridor.
Once completed, the project is expected to bring lasting relief to residents and businesses in the area and contribute meaningfully to the state’s broader vision for infrastructural development.
“We deeply appreciate the continued patience, cooperation, and support of residents and road users throughout this process. Every effort is being made to ensure the project is completed efficiently and to the highest standard,” the state said.
