The Thunder emerged victorious in that game, winning 103-91 and securing the championship title. However, the match was overshadowed by a severe injury to the Pacers’ best player – , who tore his Achilles tendon after just seven minutes of play.

It was clear that the entire team was shaken by this injury, and delivered a very poor performance. In Game 6, he was the Pacers’ most efficient player with 20 points, but in this game, he scored zero points and grabbed only two rebounds in 21 minutes on the court.
