Published 2 days ago2 minute read

The WNBA has shared details for the 2021 AT&T WNBA All-Star, scheduled to be played July 14 in Michelob Ultra Arena at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

The 17th WNBA All-Star Game will be broadcast live on ESPN.

The game will feature All-Stars voted-in from the USA Basketball Women’s National Team versus the remaining WNBA All-Stars, who will be voted-in as part of a combination of fan, player, media, and coach voting.

The USA Basketball Women’s National Team will hold training camp in Las Vegas in July prior to departing for the Tokyo Summer Games, which begin July 23.

The WNBA will be on an Olympic Games break from July 15-Aug. 11.

Earlier this month, USA Basketball and MGM Resorts International signed an expanded, multi-year partnership under which MGM Resorts would be the official training camp home of the USA Basketball Men’s and Women’s National Teams.

MGM Resorts also became an official integrated resorts partner of USA Basketball and an official USA Basketball exhibition tour partner.

As part of the league’s 25th season celebrations, the WNBA will also honor the gold-medal winning 1996 U.S. Olympic Women’s Basketball Team with a special presentation during the game highlighting the impact the team had on women’s sports and the role it played in launching the WNBA.

Fan voting for the AT&T WNBA All-Star 2021 begins June 15.

The selection of the All-Stars will be conducted through a combination of voting by fans (50% of the vote), current WNBA players (25%) and a national panel of sportswriters and broadcasters (25%).

The AT&T WNBA All-Star 2021 rosters will be unveiled on June 30.

The top 36 vote-getters — which will comprise at least nine backcourt and 15 frontcourt players — from that voting process who are not members of the USA Basketball 5×5 roster, will then be provided to WNBA head coaches.

They will determine from that list the 12 players who will play for the Team WNBA All-Stars versus the USA Basketball Women’s National Team.

Ticket information for AT&T WNBA All-Star 2021 will be forthcoming.

AT&T is the marquee partner of the WNBA and an inaugural member of WNBA Changemakers.
